FoodMix is pleased to announce the addition of our newest member: Social Media Coordinator Gina Parker. Gina joins us from Colorado, where she graduated from the University of Denver with a BS in Business Administration – Marketing, and double minors in Journalism and Entrepreneurship. She put the latter skill to work while still a student, with the founding of Pop-Up Palooza, a farmers’ market and music festival that drew more than 75 vendors and bands, and hundreds of attendees.

She brings that same drive to FoodMix with her fastidious management of social media calendars and accounts, plus a fresh take on content creation for our clients. And she can boast having been on both sides of the camera, experiencing her own recent few minutes (or seconds) of fame as a cast member in a JanSport commercial.

 An old soul, Gina loves The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Smiths, and the late, great Jeff Buckley. She also grooves on indie rock, Midwest emo, and even plays a little guitar herself.

A fellow foodie who fits right in, Gina has a passion for Mexican cuisine (how can you turn down a taco?!) and is beginning to explore the Chicago restaurant scene. She’s already finding some faves, including Taqueria Moran in Logan Square. And while discovering amazing food is a passion, she’d also like to celebrate it, aspiring to one day attend the James Beard Awards.
